We never stop thinking about how we can help pets and their people live their happiest, healthiest lives together. We're always working hard to make sure that we're the brand that passionate pet owners like you turn to for their best friend's care.

For that reason, you'll be seeing a lot of changes in the near future—including new flavors, new formulas, and a seamless, easy-to-shop product line! However, that also means some of our dog & cat formulas will no longer be offered.

But never fear!

Below, we'll go over all the products that are leaving (or have already left) shelves in 2024. We'll also provide our best recommendations about what to buy now if your favorite product is no longer available.

Products discontinued in 2024

While we're proud of every vet-formulated supplement we've made, some products no longer make the cut. Either we're exploring new or more innovative formulas, or that product is just not what pet parents are looking for.

Here's a list of products that have been discontinued this past year:

Click on one of the products above or scroll down for more information and to see our recommendations for what to try now.*

Has Derma 3.6.9. Pro been discontinued?

Yes, Derma 3.6.9. Pro, a skin & coat chew for cats & dogs, has been discontinued. Fortunately, Omega Plus (now Extra Strength Healthy Skin & Coat) chews for dogs offer a comparable formula and a similar texture at a more affordable price. And, since this product is part of our Core line, it can be found in more brick-and-mortar and online stores.

If you're hunting for a veterinary-strength chew for skin, Derma Strength Pro™ (now Veterinary Strength Allergy & Itch Support) for dogs & cats is made with essential fatty acids, powerful antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid to help support smooth, healthy, comfortable skin.

Has Feline Senior Vitality Pro been discontinued?

Yes, Feline Senior Vitality Pro, a healthy aging supplement for cats, has been discontinued from the Pro Line. While this formula was popular for supporting cognition, memory, and immune health in cats, we found that there just wasn't a high demand for it.

Composure™ Pro Advanced (now Max Veterinary Strength Calm & Confident) is formulated with calming ingredients, including colostrum and lemon balm extract, that may help support cognition in cats.

Cat owners looking for immune support may like Lysine Complete (now Ultimate Strength Lysine Immunity Health), a 3-in-1 health supplement specifically formulated to deliver powerful support to cats. If you're looking specifically for a feline brain health & cognition supplement, let us know! We're always developing new formulations.

Has GlycoFlex® been discontinued?

Some varieties of our GlycoFlex® joint supplements for dogs and cats have been discontinued, including our Classic 300 & 600 MG, Stage 1, Everyday, and Sport.

There are a number of exciting changes happening to help make our line of hip & joint and mobility supplements easier to navigate. For information about all of our GlycoFlex® (now Healthy Hip & Joint) products, and to learn what's replacing the discontinued GlycoFlex® products, check out this blog:

Has MobilityFlex™ been discontinued?

Yes, MobilityFlex™ has been discontinued from the Pro Line, including MobilityFlex™ for Large Dogs. For an alternative veterinary-strength mobility supplement, we recommend one of our VetriFlex® products! Like MobilityFlex™, VetriFlex® (now Veterinary Strength Healthy Hip & Joint) is made with green-lipped mussel, MSM, and Boswellia serrata to help support hip & joint function and flexibility. Plus, it offers additional ingredients to support healthy inflammation and joint comfort, like curcumin, Vitamin C, grape seed extract, and hyaluronic acid.

Choose our classic VetriFlex® for dogs under 60 pounds, VetriFlex® for Large Dogs for dogs over 60 pounds, and VetriFlex® Feline for cats of all shapes and sizes.

Have Nu Cat™ Senior Multivitamin Tablets been discontinued?

Yes, Nu Cat™ Senior Multivitamin Tablets have been discontinued. While the chewable tablets were specially flavored to tempt even picky kitties, the harder texture of the tablets meant that this product was not the favored choice for many of our feline customers. Fortunately, you can still get your hands on Nu Cat™ Senior Multivitamin chews (now Senior 27+ Active Health)! They are the same healthy formula in a deliciously flavored chew that can be given as a treat or easily broken and crumbled into your cat's bowl to be gobbled up.

Discontinued Products FAQ

Why were these products discontinued?

There are a lot of factors that go into the decision to discontinue one of the products that our team has worked so hard to formulate, make, and send out to caring pet parents. The decision is never made lightly!

Sometimes a formula just isn't what the market is looking for, and it doesn't make sense to continue mixing and making a supplement that people don't want to buy. Other times, the formula is promising, but we think we can do better! Some products are discontinued because we're rolling out something that's made even better than the last.

Can I still buy these products if they're discontinued?

Unless otherwise specified, none of the products above are available on our website, and they are no longer being produced by VetriScience®.

There may be some still in stock through our official distribution partners (Amazon, Chewy, Petco, Target, Walmart, and others) but we strongly caution against buying any of these discontinued products through unlicensed or unofficial sellers. We cannot guarantee that any of those are the real thing, and your pet's safety is our top priority. If you're not sure whether a seller is an official partner, feel free to ask us!

Will you bring any of these products back?

Never say never! While all of these products have currently been removed from production, the planning and innovation never stops. If we hear from enough pet parents that a specific product is sorely missed, or there's a type of supplement you're desperate for us to make, we may start working on something to meet that need. Reach out to us on social media with your ideas!
