Has GlycoFlex® Been Discontinued?

Our GlycoFlex®* joint supplements are some of our most popular products, used for dogs & cats of all ages to help them live their best, most active lives. They're clinically tested and adventure approved!

However, since we're constantly researching and learning more about joint health in pets and how supplementation can help improve and even extend quality of life, it was time for some changes.

Now, a few of our legacy products may be leaving the shelves, but our best-selling joint supplements are here to stay—with a brand-new look and feel! Recently, our GlycoFlex® line was rebranded as our NEW Healthy Hip & Joint line. See our blog for more details. 



Don't worry if the GlycoFlex® product you've been using is being discontinued—we make it easy to switch! Since all our hip & joint support formulas are made with similar base ingredients and flavors, most pets can switch from one product to another without a problem.

Has GlycoFlex® Plus been discontinued? 

No, GlycoFlex® Plus has not been discontinued! It has been renamed as Ultimate Strength Healthy Hip & Joint. It's the exact same formula, but with a new look and a new name. 

If you've been buying and loving the benefits of GlycoFlex® Plus, Ultimate Strength Healthy Hip & Joint delivers everything you're looking for with the same clinically tested and trusted formula, flavors, and formats. It's available in soft chews for small dogs, medium/large dogs, and cats, and in chewable tablets for dogs. 

 

Has GlycoFlex® Stage 3 been discontinued? 

No, GlycoFlex® Stage 3 has not been discontinued! It has been renamed as Extra Strength Healthy Hip & Joint. It's the exact same formula, but with a new look and a new name. 

If you've been buying and loving the benefits of GlycoFlex® Stage 3, Extra Strength Healthy Hip & Joint delivers everything you're looking for with the same trusted formula, flavors, and formats. It's available in soft chews for small dogs, medium/large dogs, and cats, and chewable tablets for dogs.

 

Has GlycoFlex® Stage 2 been discontinued? 

No, GlycoFlex® Stage 2 has not been discontinued! It has been renamed as Healthy Hip & Joint. It's the exact same formula, but with a new look and a new name.

Has GlycoFlex® Sport been discontinued? 

The GlycoFlex® Sport formula for dogs, a similar formula to GlycoFlex® Stage 2, is no longer available.

In its place, we also recommend Healthy Hip & Joint. If you've been buying and loving the benefits of GlycoFlex® Sport, Healthy Hip & Joint delivers everything you're looking for. It's available in both chews and chewable tablets. 

 

Has GlycoFlex® Stage 1 been discontinued?  

The GlycoFlex® Stage 1 formula for dogs has been discontinued. For pet owners looking for effective daily joint support for puppies and young dogs, we recommend Healthy Hip & Joint.

In addition to the science-backed ingredients in GlycoFlex® Stage 1—green-lipped mussel, glucosamine HCl, and DMG—delicious, chicken liver-flavored Healthy Hip & Joint chews are made with added MSM to support joint health for a lifetime of adventure. 

Healthy Hip & Joint also offers more glucosamine HCl per serving to deliver even more support for mobility and joint flexibility. It's available in both chews and chewable tablets. 

 

Has GlycoFlex® Everyday been discontinued? 

The GlycoFlex® Everyday formula for dogs, a similar formula to Stage 1, has also been discontinued. If you've been using GlycoFlex® Everyday as proactive joint support for your dog and want something similar, we recommend Healthy Hip & Joint. 

This joint supplement offers 750 mg of glucosamine HCl per 2 chews (compared to 500 mg in Everyday) and adds MSM and Manganese to help support joint and connective tissue structure. These additional ingredients also help with collagen formation, which is needed for optimal cartilage health! It's available in both chews and chewable tablets. 

 

Has GlycoFlex® Classic been discontinued? 

GlycoFlex® Classic 300 MG & Classic 600 MG tablets for dogs have been discontinued. These introductory hip & joint supplements with green-lipped mussel were an excellent everyday option for young, active dogs. However, we are now recommending Healthy Hip & Joint (previously GlycoFlex® Stage 2) as our top proactive joint supplement.

Healthy Hip & Joint includes 750 mg of glucosamine HCl per 2 chews, along with glucosamine HCl, MSM, DMG, and Manganese. It's all the Perna power of our Classic formula, with an extra boost of joint support! It's available in both chews and chewable tablets.

 

 

Why has my usual GlycoFlex® supplement been discontinued? 

We want to assure you that the discontinued GlycoFlex® joint supplements were retired for a few simple reasons:  

  • We're following the most current recommendations of our veterinary & nutrition experts and responding to customer feedback
  • Our current recommended formulas are the best possible options due to the strength and bioavailability of their active ingredients 
  • Fewer total formulas make it easier for pet parents to browse, compare, and choose the joint supplement that's right for their dog or cat
